in today’s mass-market world, very few items are hand produced right here in America. teddylux bears, animals, and accessories are unique, handmade with love. how long will it take to get my teddylux cashmere animal?
For a one-of-a kind teddylux bear, bunny, elephant, or lovey, sewn from our stock upcycled cashmere sold in our online shop, it takes approximately 2 -3 weeks. We sew when the order comes in to our Atlanta, Georgia studio, and we are a very small company. We don't have a warehouse full of ready-made stuffed animals. We sew your teddylux animal once we get your order.
I have a cashmere sweater I'd like made into a bear. Is that possible?

how long will it take to have my cashmere sweater made into an animal?
working with a cashmere sweater you provide takes a bit more time. Please allow 2 - 3 months at our studio.
how will my teddylux item be shipped?
Small orders go USPS Priority Mail, larger orders UPS.
do you ship internationally?
Yes, but shopping cart is set up for only calculating US Postage. Additional fees will apply for international shipping. what is cashmere?
cashmere is the world’s finest, softest knit. In the wintry, mountainous regions of China, Mongolia, Iran and Afghanistan, long-haired goats are the "natural producers" of this fine material. Under their thick, hairy fleece, a thin layer of down, 2 to 4 cm long, is sheared: this is cashmere. Each animal only produces a small amount of useable fiber to be spun into cashmere yarn. Making cashmere is a long and difficult process, but its purity and softness certainly make it worth the while.
how does teddylux recycle cashmere?
teddylux bears are crafted and upcycled with previously manufactured cashmere knits, mainly sweaters, giving luxury materials a new life. The best vintage cashmere knits, 2 ply and up, are thoroughly reconditioned and cleaned for maximum softness. teddylux bears are irresistably soft to the touch.
